Russell grew up in north Mississippi. He went to Florida State on a swimming scholarship and received a BS in marketing.

After college he worked in his family's industrial distribution business until it was sold in 2000. 

Wanting to try something different, he moved to Destin and bought a small motel and marina on the Destin harbor. He has a 100-ton captain's license and piloted a snorkel/tour boat that operated out of his marina.

He sold the motel-marina property in 2005 and has been working in real estate ever since. 

Russell has sold properties from tiny studio condos, to a 150,000 square foot factory in Fort Walton Beach, to a bayfront home in Kelly Plantation that was over $10 million dollars.

He works hard to help customers realize their dreams either buying or selling properties in this area.
